Hegg Marine Solutions is owned and operated by Fred Hegg, a leading industry professional whom has been involved with the research, development, engineering, manufacturing, integration and sales of underwater acoustic products. Prior to starting HMS, Mr. Hegg was employed for over 25 years at Teledyne Benthos, Inc., formerly Benthos, Inc., and Datasonics, Inc. His vast work experience and intricate knowledge of specialized facets of marine science have been well documented and published in industry-specific conferences . Throughout his career, Hegg has traveled extensively to work with clients, focusing the last 15 years in Asia and Europe.

Hegg Marine Solutions was started April 2008 by owner and operator, Frederick Hegg. With over 25 years experience in the ocean industry, HMS has been involved in the development of a wide range of products from acoustic positioning and release systems to 6000m rated deep towed sonar systems. Most recent projects have been related to developments in high resolution swath bathymetry systems for shallow water applications.
