Foster Care Volunteers Will Host Tournaments for Summer Camp |

| (openPR) - Children’s Charity Will Host Annual Tennis, Bridge and Bunco Tournaments (ARCADIA, CA)—Sponsoring this year’s Bartlett Cup, Hillsides Guild will host the annual Tennis, Bridge and Bunco Tournaments on May 15 to raise funds for summer camp activities for foster care children at Hillsides, a Pasadena charity. “Summer camp starts the day the school year is over from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Staff keeps the children and youth challenged throughout the summer with activities that help them relax, refresh and heal,” said Nancy Garni, director of development. “And that’s what participants help Hillsides do with their support at the Bartlett Cup.” Tennis players participate in a round robin competition at the Santa Anita County Tennis Courts in Arcadia. While Guild guests play bridge and bunco at the Arcadia home of Anita Peralaz, followed by a savory lunch catered by Kim’s Katering also of Arcadia. To vie for the coveted Bartlett Cup prizes, contact Carrie Espinoza at (323) 255-9005 ext. 254. Tickets are $40 and includes participation in one of the tournaments and lunch. The Annual Bartlett Cup Tennis, Bridge, and Bunco Tournament is named after its founder and Hillsides Guild member, Sylvia Bartlett, who is estates director for Dilbeck Realtors GMAC in Arcadia. After twenty years of planning the event, Bartlett decided to take on another adventure—traveling. Last year was the first time the Hillsides Guild took the reign of hosting the tournament.
