(openPR) - Newcomers to the voice acting career field can get a firm foothold on the ladder to success with 33 steps to take, as outlined in a new article on VoiceOverXtra.com - the voice-over industry’s online news and resource center.

In “Words to the Wise: 33 Steps To Voice-Over Career Success,” author Bettye Zoller shares her years of experience as a top voice talent, voice-over coach, trainer and producer. The article is located in the web site’s Business Center/Career section.

Step number one: "Refuse to go away," says Zoller. “Voice-overs take persistent effort and hard work to break in. Most people give up too soon (in every field!).

“Most successful people (especially successful people in voice-overs and other areas of show business and the arts) say that they stuck it out when the going got tough. You should do that too!”

In additional steps, Zoller sets a success path through training, producing a demo, creating a home studio, finding agents, networking, marketing, continuing practice and training, and much more.

And equally import to voice training, says Zoller, is step number 33:

“Enroll in every business course or workshop that applies to your voice-over business. Business knowledge is so vital. You are a business owner and your business is YOU!”
