(openPR) - ICG Software has implemented its solutions in the outlets of “Progreso”, the main chain of book and stationery stores in Guatemala city.

The company Librerías y Papelerías “Progreso”, with more than 50 years of existence in the Guatemalan market and nine outlets in the capital of the country has been automated with the solutions of ICG Software. The implementation, performed by our Partners in Guatemala consists of the installation of TPOS2 compact touch point of sale terminals with customer display, and the software solutions FrontRetail, ICGManager and ICGCommerce.

ICG's Partners in Guatemala, Sergio y Estuardo Jimenez, explain that “the ICG Solutions allowed the outlets to expedite both the sales process and the control of the outlet, mainly since the process of emitting invoices and the application of Price rates are now completely automated, and don’t have to be done manually anymore.” Furthermore, “The centralization of the information of the whole sales- and management process, the availability of statistics by outlet, product, season and customer represents a spectacular breakthrough for these outlets”.

Some of the main customers of the “Progreso” book shops are the country’s institutions. The flexibility of the ICG products allows the company to cover the future expectations for direct sales from the central and the delivery of the centrally ordered products from the different shops. It also offers the institutions and companies the possibility to make their big orders through Internet.
