(openPR) - Webinar scheduled for February 19th at 2:00 PM ET with Intermec, Premier Electronics and epcSolutions.

Great Falls, VA – epcSolutions invites you to a webinar on student tracking using GEN2 RFID on February 19th at 2:00 PM ET with Sally Chasanoff and Sam Matchey from Intermec, John Cook, Sales Manager, Premiere Electronics, along with Kevin Kail, CEO and Chuck Williams, CTO, epcSolutions.
There are many different concerns today that face students and schools. From tracking time and attendance of students, to providing enhanced security in and among school properties, many schools are turning to RFID for answers to their business problem.

For schools today, student ID cards/badges can contain GEN2 RFID technology that store a student identification number, and can link a student with activities where "card readers" or "scanners" are used to collect and feed data into the system: meal purchases, library book checkouts, campus and classroom entrance/exits, etc.

Supplying students with RFID badges can help with daily attendance in schools and help the staff identify students who are absent by importing information in the student-information databases. The same could be applied to school visitors, especially to prevent them from entering unauthorized areas. The badges can also help control a specific zone within the school.

John Cook, Sales Manager, Premier Electronics along with Sally Chasanoff and Sam Matchey from Intermec, will discuss a student tracking project for one of the largest high schools within the Unites States, with over 6000 cards in use by students. John Cook states, "We where able to move the kids thru the guard station in a fraction of the time and with 100% accuracy, saving them and the school valuable time.” The project also included printers, fixed readers and handheld scanners, and TetraGate Lite™ from epcSolutions.
