E-Ticket Germany gets faster RFID cards

ZeitControl cardsystems GmbH a developer of smart card operation systems (OS) – is contributing the BasicCard RFID to a project run by the “German National Transportation Agency (VDV)” – which will distribute over 8 million e-tickets in the next 4 years.

The e-ticket is a contactless payment system for the local public transport. ZeitControl, as OS provider, together with Samsung Electronics, developed a flexible, cost-effective and fast running BasicCard applet.

The ticket using ZeitControl’s applet makes travelling quicker and safer without having to deal with different card systems.

ZeitControl cardsystems GmbH with their office in Minden, Germany, works in the area of development, production and marketing of smart card technology. The company was founded 1989 by its managing director Wolfgang Salge.
One of the main area ZeitControl is working on the BasicCard- The first smart card programmable in BASIC. With this BasicCard any programmer is able to develop a smart card application by himself within few hours.
Further to this ZeitControls work focusses on the RFID technology of transponders and smart labels which contains readers, antennae and applications.
The success of ZeitControl GmbH is based on the continuing development of operating systems and terminals for chip card applications in the business as well as in the private customer area.
