Henkel chooses XTEL for the French and German operations

|(openPR) - The German multinational company adopts XTEL solutions to improve performance in the field
XTEL, the European provider of sales automation solutions to the consumer goods industry, today announced that Henkel, a leading company in the Laundry/Home Care, Cosmetics, and Adhesive Technologies segments, chose XTEL applications to support its French and German sales force teams in their daily activities.
By the end of 2012, around 300 workers from the French laundry and cosmetics divisions and from the German cosmetics division will be outfitted with XTEL sales force automation solution running on their mobile laptop devices.
The XTEL sales force application will provide a solution to Henkel sales teams who actively deal with thousands of retail customers and need to develop multiple sales activities in the field: from order entry, to in-store execution of promotions and merchandising activities, and store audits.
“Our sales teams work with massive volumes of products and need to effectively deliver key sales tasks in the field. All of them demand easy access to information, fast communication, standardized procedures, timely analysis, and insightful guidance,” said Michael Robl, Corporate Vice President International Sales for Cosmetics Business at Henkel. “Last year Henkel decided to set up the first stakes of its new European sales force automation project. We conducted a comprehensive selection process and chose XTEL especially due to its very flexible software fulfilling Henkel needs to a high degree from standard application that will mean less implementation costs and lower upgrading costs for the future but also due to XTELs very high and professional expertise and experience for CPG specific requirements.”
According to Michael Robl, the objectives of the software implementation span better control in planning and managing field-activities, enhanced flow of information between corporate office and sales reps, improved decision making, and greater performance in the field. France and Germany constitute the first milestones of this pan-European initiative that might later on reach other Henkel operations.
