(openPR) - The free Adventure PHP Framework in version 1.14 has been released. The framework is designed to assist the developer with the implementation of object oriented and reusable PHP based web applications and encourages the use of design patterns. The present release introduces a new concept for url generation and url scheme abstraction and contains improvements for the user management module and the o/r mapper GORM.

The url generation and abstraction concept was technically redesigned. This includes the new LinkGenerator component als well as the enhancement of the input and output filter. The latter ones are responsible for url schema resolving. As of this release, you are enabled to change the url layout e.g. for SEO reasons without code adaptions.

The usermanagement module was added a generic login functionality that can be added to any kind of application without code changes. Further, the module now saves password data in a more secure way using static and user-dependent dynamic salts.

The famous o/r mapper GORM (generic o/r mapper) of the APF has been added domain object handling. This feature supports the implementation according to the domain object software design pattern. Moreover, the update tool and the query facade GenericCriterionObject have been enhanced.

Besides the changes listed above the release contains several bugfixes and and enhancement of the sandbox.

The Adventure PHP Framework is licensed under the LGPLv3 and can be downloaded under adventure-php-framework.org/Page/008-Downloads.

The Adventure PHP Framework (APF) understands itself as a utility to implement object oriented and generic PHP web applications. It supports the developer in creating programs in compliance with approved software design patterns. Its code base already has answers to many day-to-day problems. The framework cannot be described as an application that only has to be configured but rather as a technical basis and guide for designing software. Furthermore it introduced many concepts and efficiency tools already well known in the JAVA community.
