Enable easier and faster provision of Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 environments

Frankfurt am Main/Ettlingen, 19 April 2007/Kn: Setting up test or demo environments for Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 up to 30 times faster – that's what visionapp, a leading specialist in server-based IT solutions, promises with the new "visionapp Experience 2007". visionapp Experience will enable Citrix customers to work with a completely installed application streaming server environment in about 20 minutes. The official roll-out will take place during this year's BriForum to be held from 23 to 25 April in Chicago, Ill.
A number of selected partners who were able to run extensive tests are quite enthusiastic. According to Vincent Branger from SARL Infralys, "there is no easier and faster way to provide a proof of concept for applications in a multi-user environment". In the same vein, Arthur Frei from Bechtle Data adds: "Thanks to visionapp Experience, we are now in a position to drastically cut down installation time when setting up application delivery infrastructures based on the latest Microsoft and Citrix technologies."
visionapp Experience was jointly developed by visionapp and their US partner and SBC expert Rick Dehlinger and his company iQurious – the full name of the product is "visionapp Experience inspired by iQurious". At a preview presentation held at the Citrix Summit in Orlando in January 2007, key Citrix partners and resellers were convinced by this new tool. Based on some of the core components of visionapp Platform Management Suite, it enables an automated installation of a simple Citrix application delivery infrastructure based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows Terminal Services, Microsoft Internet Information Services, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 including the Streaming feature and a streamed application, Citrix Licensing Server and Citrix Web Interface 4.5. "One of the key advantages of visionapp Experience is that it saves a lot of time. While manually setting up a single-server test or evaluation environment will take somewhere between four and eight hours depending on the administrator's experience, the new tool makes it possible to complete this task in 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the performance of the server hardware used", Niklas Frangos, Manager Product Marketing, explains. Not only is it possible to provide test installations or demo environments for evaluation or training purposes very quickly, the tool automates the installation, application profiling, and publication, so also requires less specific technical skills from users. Another plus of visionapp Experience is that it resolves any licensing issues for system integrators. The customer uses their own licenses, which prevents the licenses violations which can occur in off site build.
visionapp Experience 2007 will be available as of 23 April 2007. For end customers, a single-site license is offered at a price of €75 plus VAT per target environment or site. For Citrix integrators who wish to set up any number of environments for different customers, a personal multi-site license is available at €300 plus VAT. The product will be sold through the visionapp and Citrix partner community.
