Author Father Larry Richards to Speak at the Parish of Saints Philip & James
Because of the unavoidable cancellation of this event in March due to a snowstorm, a larger-than-usual capacity crowd is expected on this rescheduled date. Hundreds will be on the scene to meet, greet and learn from this captivating, authentic and enthusiastic speaker who has helped change hearts, minds and lives worldwide.
Not preachy, but direct, Father Richards challenges men to be strong, without putting on a mask of false strength or machismo. He provides the tools that men need to overcome their weaknesses and limitations and to become the “Man That God Created You to Be.”
The event is sponsored by the parish’s Men’s Forum @ SSPJ, which is entering its fourth year and welcomes men in their twenties, thirties, forties and older twice a month to the parish campus.

Over one hundred years old, the Parish of Saints Philip & James is located at One Carow Place in St. James, New York. In June of 2008, Bishop Murphy appointed Father Tony Stanganelli as our tenth pastor of Saints Philip and James. He began to implement the vision of Monsignor Brian in overseeing the renovations of the Old Church (restored stained glass windows, new doors new sound system, new carpeting and painting) and the additions to the new Church (a new elevator, new carpeting and painting, and new steps and ramps for the front of the Church.
