Owen Trinkler and RSR Motorsports believe they have a strong car heading to Road America

(openPR) - P1 Groupe driver Owen Trinkler is ready for the challenges that Road America will present to him and the rest of the RSR Motorsports Team this upcoming weekend. Trinkler and his co-driver Sarah Cattaneo recorded their fourth Top-10 result in ST competition on the season at Watkins Glen in the beginning of June with a ninth place finish. The latest Top-10 helped keep the team fifth in the Street Tuner Team Championship Points. In four days the team will once again put their #198 Mini Cooper S on the track looking for their second podium of the year, and Trinkler believes they have a good enough car to accomplish their goals.

About the upcoming weekend at historic Road America, Trinkler stated “Looking forward to this weekend. We tested there in October, and we think we will have a good race car when the green flag drops on Friday night. Hopefully we can put a solid qualifying run on the board and be ready to race.”

Trinkler will be once again sharing the seat with co-driver Sarah Cattaneo in the #198 RSR Motorsports Mini Cooper S for the race this weekend. Cattaneo will be asked to qualify the car and start the race while Trinkler will be asked to bring the Mini Cooper to the finish line at race’s end.

Entering the seventh race of the year Trinkler is currently in seventh in driver points, while RSR Motorsports is currently fifth in team points for the 2011 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series season.

The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series race at Road America will be on June 24th and will be aired on SPEED Channel on July 3rd at 1pm. All Times Eastern.
