YesAsia.com Recognized by Internet Retailer Magazine in Annual "Best of the Web" Top 50 Awards
|Pressemitteilung von: YesAsia.com Ltd|
|(openPR) - YesAsia.com, a leading Internet source of Asian entertainment products, was the only Asia-based website recognized as one of the "Top 50 Retailing Web Sites" in Internet Retailer's eighth annual "Best of the Web" awards. Internet Retailer, an authoritative US-based e-commerce magazine, cited YesAsia.com's excellent attentiveness to customer needs as the primary reason for its recognition.
According to Internet Retailer magazine, "The difference between most web stores and this year's Internet Retailer Top 50 best e-commerce sites is like the difference between a 2003 Ford Taurus and a 2007 Cadillac DTS - both do what they're supposed to do, but the latter do it more effectively and in a manner more appealing and exciting to customers."
“YesAsia.com is extremely delighted to be the only Asia-based company to receive this prestigious award," commented Joshua Lau, founder and CEO of YesAsia.com. "The award recognizes our effort to provide customers with high-quality products and world-class service." Other award recipients this year include Amazon.com, Dell.com, Gap.com, and Polo.com. "It's encouraging to be mentioned alongside the leaders in our industry," Mr. Lau added. "We have always believed that if we serve our customers well, our own success will follow."
YesAsia.com has long been known for its popularity with customers and its superior service. The company offers over 670,000 Asian entertainment products, ranging from DVDs, CDs, and video games to electronics, books, and collectibles, to a customer base of over 700,000 people in more than 150 countries. A Nielsen/NetRatings Survey for October 2004 rated YesAsia.com as Hong Kong’s second most-visited retailing website, and Alexa.com currently ranks it among the top 2,000 websites in the world. In 2005, YesAsia.com was named one of the Top 500 online retailers in the US by Internet Retailer, setting the stage for its "Best of the Web" award in 2006.
Building on the same successful formula as YesAsia.com, the company launched YesStyle.com in 2006. An online fashion retailer, YesStyle.com offers stylish, high-quality, and innovative apparel, jewelry, and accessories from Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan to the global community. The site now carries over 200 brands in seven categories, including women's fashion, menswear, shoes and bags, innerwear, beauty products, jewelry, and accessories.
“Customers have given YesStyle.com an enthusiastic welcome and strong support," said Mr. Lau. "The website received over 800,000 visits and 13 million page views during its first six months. Moreover, it generated more than HK$4 million in revenue between July 2006 and January 2007." Looking to the future, the company hopes to expand the reach of both its sites to customers worldwide. Added Mr. Lau, "Given that YesAsia.com and YesStyle.com are run by the same dedicated team, we’re sure the 'Best of the Web' Top 50 award will further boost the public’s confidence about shopping at both our websites.”
