Jersey Central Art Studios To Host Plein-Air Competition & Art Sale In Cranford, New Jersey
According to Deb Leber, president of Jersey Central Art Studios, the picturesque town of Cranford, New Jersey is the ideal place to host this event. “The town of Cranford is located about 18 miles southwest of and is filled with timeless charm,” she says.
“Plein-Air is a French term for painting in the open air,” Leber explains. “These paintings are usually done quickly. The artist's intent is to capture the light and feeling of a particular time of day.”
Leber emphasizes that there will be many opportunities for the public to get involved with the artistic process and to purchase paintings of the urban, seaside and rural landscapes that were created on location.
