|(openPR) - Award-winning IT services provider and Brighton-based company, FDM Group, will be helping students from Sussex University ‘Learn to Lead’ by taking part in an intensive personal development programme this month.
FDM’s CEO and former ‘Sussex Business Person of the Year’, Rod Flavell, will be offering his expertise and knowledge as the founder of FDM Group during a competitive five-day leader training programme hosted by industry innovators.
The programme is aimed at providing leadership training to 30 of the university’s most talented students following the success of its pilot last year. ‘Learning to Lead’ introduces student participants to themes of leadership, policy development and achieving impact, with the aim to strengthen individual skills and nurture leaders of the future.
Students will be shortlisted on the basis of their ambition to make an impact or contribution to the wider community, and evidence of leadership potential from their experience to date.
Rod won Sussex Business Person of the Year at the 2009 Sussex Business Awards, as well as Best Employer in Sussex and International Business of the Year respectively.
In 2010 FDM won Best Technical Graduate Recruiter at the National Graduate Recruitment Awards and was shortlisted as Company of the Year at the Growing Business Awards and IT Employer of the Year at the UK IT Industry Awards.
