Capture the Art of Trinidad Pino in The Pathway to Abstraction at Agora Gallery |
||
| Pressemitteilung von: Agora Gallery | ||
In the little fragments of nature that she isolates and brings to life – birds, flowers and insects – Trinidad Pino finds an immense wealth of colors, textures and character. The Miami-based Cuban-American painter captures her subjects with bold colors and expressive brush strokes that sometimes convey a child-like sense of excitement and discovery, or can conjure airs of mystery and otherworldliness. Her visions of nature are quirky, intriguing and playful, yet never sentimental or contrived. By suggesting intimate details and subtleties, Trinidad explores a more organic relationship to the environment, one rooted in familiarity and interaction. However exotic or foreign, her subjects are immediately affecting, imbued with deeply resonant emotional traits and complexities. Flower petals sag as if fatigued by their thankless role in the ecosystem; some insects appear stiffly upright, as if buoyed by a sense of responsibility and moral duty. Her birds, many of them roosters, reveal a flair for the dramatic. Trinidad brings shading and an enveloping depth to every corner of nature.
