Work site asbestos removal is necessary to prevent asbestos exposure to workers. Asbestos exposure can lead to asbestos cancers such as malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer. The symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include difficulty in breathing, chest pain, coughing of blood and night sweats.
Treatment options for asbestos cancers are generally of limited effectiveness. This is because asbestos cancers are often diagnosed too late. Some treatment techniques for asbestos cancers include immunotherapy, gene therapy, radiation and photodynamic therapy (PDT). Additionally, there are many clinical trials currently underway for experimental drugs to treat asbestos cancers such as mesothelioma and lung cancer. People suffering from an asbestos cancer should consider participating in these clinical trials.
