Meadows Hospital Earns Gold-Level Recognition In Flu Challenge by Joint Commission

“Research has shown that the key to decreasing the transmission of flu to patients is the vaccination of healthcare workers,” said Jean Scallon, chief executive officer of Meadows Hospital. “Meadows Hospital is committed to helping decrease the spread of the seasonal flu and the high percentage of Meadows employees who received the vaccination shows the importance we put on ensuring patients and staff members stay healthy.”
More than 1,700 hospitals across the country participated in the “Flu Vaccination Challenge” and approximately 1.1 million healthcare workers were vaccinated. Among participating hospitals, vaccinations increased 14 percent.
