DIGITUS® Professional helps here with the manageable Fast Ethernet PoE switch. The DN-95301 acts as a central hub for the cable connected network not only to transmit and assign individual data packets to the connected computers but also to supply connected devices with up to 100 Watt at the same time. The maximum capacity per port is 15.6W according to the IEEE 802.3af Standard.
This means that the cable connected network also has the advantage of providing connected devices with power at the same time in addition to great security against eavesdropping, great reliability and low susceptibility to failure. Laying power supply cables in addition to the network cable is not longer necessary and bulky transformer power units do not have to be used.
The DIGITUS® Professional Layer 2 POE Workgroup Switch can be configured via the web interface, the console port or via Telnet. The switch has eight 10-base-T/100 base-TX RJ45 ports and two gigabit combo ports, either for RJ45 or fibre optic SFP modules and is suitable for rack installation.
Suitable mounting brackets are provided with the device.
The SNMP protocol also provides efficient network surveillance in addition to the mirroring function which can be used to integrate the switch into the existing network infrastructure. The Port Trunk Function can be used to group together several ports to increase the bandwidth. The data transmission speed between switches is increased in this way.
The switch is equipped with a VLAN function for additional performance and safety. RMON support, QoS, Flow Control, Store and Forward Technology, Auto MDI / MDI-X Function and also 8KB MAC address memory turn this switch in the company network into an intelligent control centre. The maximum data throughput of 5.6 Gbps leaves enough space to extend the infrastructure.
