LAST NOVEMBER RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW EP “TUG O’ WAR!” SET TO BE RELEASED JANUARY 26, 2010

(openPR) - LOS ANGELES, CA (November 18, 2009)— Atlanta-based pop rock band Last November is set to release their brand new EP “tug o’ war!” on January 26, 2010. The EP follows up the release of their first single and music video from the new record, “Julie,” which premiered exclusively on iTunes and YouTube on November 10, 2009. “tug o’ war!” is currently in production at Southern Tracks Studios in Atlanta, and follows up the band’s hit sophomore album “Over the Top or Under the Weather,” which was released in the spring of 2008. The album featured the single “Seventeen at Three in the Morning” which was dubbed “the teen anthem of 2009” by numerous teen publications, while receiving radio airplay on over 200 radio stations across the nation, with numbers still growing daily.

Lead singer and guitarist Luke Pilgrim edited and directed the music video for “Julie” demonstrating not only his talent in music, but his talent in production as well. While on their summer 2009 tour, the band stumbled upon the little desert town of Ludlow, CA off the Historic Route 66 where on a spur of the moment, they decided to shoot the video.

Of the EP, Luke shares, “I feel like it shows our southern roots a little more than our past records, which I am really happy with. There’s even a song called ‘Georgia.’ Lyrically speaking, this is a very personal record for me. I wrote ‘Down and Out’ during a very dark time in my life, and in contrast there are songs like ‘Firefly’ that was inspired by my new baby nephew, Jack Johnson. The name of the EP seemed fitting for the record, as it refers to how sometimes relationships can seem like a game of ‘tug o’ war.’”

Last November is currently wrapping up their west coast tour and is quickly gaining national recognition. In 2009, they secured a spot as one of the Top 20 MySpace Power-Pop bands, and became one of the most watched bands to come out of the south. With the release of “tug o’ war!” it looks like 2010 will be an even busier year for Last November.
