(openPR) - Euproma is partner of the European Consortium that develops the Proof project, which started on November 2010 and is funded by the Leonardo da Vicni Program, of the European Commission. The partnership is form by 10 organizations: Maison de la Promotion Sociale - Artigues-près-Bordeaux, (France); PREVENZIONE FORMAZIONE LAZIO, (Italy); Instituto de Formación y Estudios Sociales, (Spain); Euproma, (Germany); Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (Bulgaria); Emmerce, (Sweden); FORMARE, (Italy); ERBIL, (Turkey); CNIPMMR, (Romania); and SwissMedia, (Switzerlad).

The Proof team decided to face the current crisis that severely affected one of the largest sectors of activity in Europe, the construction sector, by taking up the current and future skills needs of construction site managers in a increasingly international working environment, which are mostly skills in the field of general management and leadership skills, health and safety at work, environmental protection and intercultural competence.

The partnership has proposed a new professional figure for the construction sector: the Site Manager for Future-Proof SMEs, who will be able to properly coordinate site workers in a Safe and Sustainable-oriented way, promoting a conscious approach to risk management and balancing ‘lean’ thinking with a developmental approach to HR management.

This new figure is supported by a new European Qualification Framework in terms of knowledge, skills and competencies that the team has set up taking into account the needs of the construction sector. In this sense, it was developed an Info-training toolkit for SMFPS. The toolkit or eBook shows how to balance the “lean” thinking with a Human Resources Management approach; it also provides chapters regarding health and safety regulations, sustainability and environmental protection, sustainable management on the construction site. It also deals with the management of different workforce with regard to specialization and internationalization and inter-language communications.

The toolkit is currently in the process of being evaluated and further improved according to the feedback received by the target users, i.e. the construction site managers at the work place.

Euproma is committed to the professional provision of advisory services for the successful development and implementation of EU-projects and nationally funded cooperation projects. We specialise in advising institutions and organisations mainly in the field of education, further education and vocational training, but also in other sectors such as Multimedia and ICT. Furthermore Euproma provides advanced vocational trainings for project management professionals in international project management, moderation and quality management.

Founded in 2008 as a subsidiary of md-pro GmbH and EC PRO Consult and is managed by Dott.sa Adriana Baer and Prof. Dr. Kotterba who both hold a long track record in coordinating EC-funded or nationally funded pilot projects. Currently, Adriana Baer coordinates 4 Leonardo projects: Grin-CH, CompAAL, EQF iServe, and ProInterNet. Euproma is also content-wise familiar with developing professional profiles based on EQF, eCF and ECVET.
