Stores Pull Bottles From Shelves After Acetaminophen Recall Announcement
Eleven million bottles of generic-brand acetaminophen made by Michigan-based drug manufacturer the Perrigo Company were recalled on Nov. 9. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) informed the public to the recall, which is for 383 lots of 500-milligram acetaminophen caplets that were manufactured and distributed under generic or store brands sold at retailers like Walgreens, CVS and Wal-Mart.
