Version 1.6 is a major update which concludes the transition of Mailismus from a pure message switch to a full-spectrum mail server that supports IMAP and POP in addition to SMTP. It also adds a browser-based GUI that permits Mailismus to be monitored in real time.
Mailismus utilises lightweight but effective network-based anti-spam techniques such as Blacklisting, Greylisting and DNS validation, along with tarpit-style measures like delayed error responses.
