Press release from: Kangaroo Kids Education Ltd.

Billabong High International school Malad adopt Gandhian approach to spread awareness on Global Warming
“The march, entirely orchestrated by our students, has been inspired by the Dandi March and just as it brought about a dynamic change in the common man’s role in freedom struggle, we hope to stir the same sense of empowerment among people to curb global warming and save our planet,” said Manju Borkar, Principal, Billabong High International School, Malad.
Chanting and displaying catchy slogans and banners like “Earth allows you to stand, let it Stand the way it is”, Don’t let our world become once upon a time”, “Unite for the benefit, for the benefit of your people”, “One day we shall work for trees!”, around 100 students and teachers rallied to Inorbit Mall from D-Mart, Malad spreading the message across to hundreds of bystanders and passersby. The students favored comprehensive steps for preservation of ecology and stringent laws to preserve the precious natural resources.
They further advised people to adopt eco friendly habits. "It is important to preserve nature to ensure a healthy environment for our future generation. It is the duty of every citizen to take practical steps in whichever small way possible to curb pollution; every drop of water that goes into the making of an ocean is important," said Priya Sharma a Grade XI student of Billabong High.
The general public appreciated the enthusiasm of the participating students and said their involvement in such awareness campaigns would greatly help in spreading the message for maintaining clean and healthy environment. Feedback forms were circulated among the general public for their opinions and leaflets created by the students were also distributed.
