(openPR) - Pfungstadt/Germany, 10 September 2009 – In the first half of the fiscal year 2009, VEPRO AG was able to increase profits by 14% despite subdued investment activities at an international level. The turnover is generated by the segments VIS workflow management system (RIS), PACS (image archiving and communication system), and consulting services.

Even though turnover developed at a slightly slower rate during the first half of the current fiscal year, the company continues on the route to success thanks to structural and organizational changes.

The restructuring of workflows, in particular in project management, production, and service, has helped to ensure even shorter implementation periods in the realization of projects, as well as optimized customer service.

Added benefits to customers include the further reduction of investments for the implementation of new IT solutions as well as accelerated return on investment, owing to the fact that a switchover to VEPRO’s economical PACS/VIS solution is now possible in an even shorter period of time.
But VEPRO, too, profits from these structural changes and has succeeded in increasing EBITDA to 19%, according to Wolfgang Kersten, Member of the Board, VEPRO AG.

At the same time, the company is making significant investments in continued software development for its products VIS and PACS. Besides new product development, such as the WEB-based portal for referring physicians and patients, new releases of the VIS and PACS have been realized which offer a multitude of new functions and of innovations.

Dynamic processes, virtual waiting rooms, statistical analyses, integration of current office software for reporting and evaluation, data compression in accordance with the German Consensus Conference, as well as integration of digital dictation and voice recognition are just some of the highlights of the latest software releases.

With these innovative IT solutions, VEPRO counts among the few solution providers that are able to offer to their customers such a diverse product portfolio.
