Best Software Award winners include 52 products in 18 categories. The winners are determined based on the following factors: total sales in the first half of 2009, the number of downloads, and customer feedback. Handster has named Overall Winner, which is Spb Mobile Shell by SPB Software. SPB Software has also received the award for the best software in Multimedia category. The award is earned by Spb TV, highly usable IP-TV solution, specifically optimized for mobile devices. One of the three Best Software Awards in the category Travel & Maps goes to GPSmeter, the app developed to turn a Pocket PC into a high precision measuring device and use GPS to its fullest, improving position measurement accuracy. The program employs an internal or external GPS receiver, enabling its user to measure beeline or route length, altitude differences, time spans, and many more.
The company also honors Panoramic Contacts Genius as the best app in the Communication category.
