Use DIGITUS® Professional Power over the ethernet

The optimum solution for easily cabling network devices is called Power over Ethernet (PoE), a procedure where the 8 strand ethernet cable is to provide fit for purpose devices simultaneously with power and data. This is especially useful if there is no socket near the device to be plugged in, or if a minimum amount of thin cable is required for connection (penetrations through walls, for example or installation outdoors).

DIGITUS® Professional offers several PoE products to save the time consuming effort of laying power cables. The DN- 95001 passive PoE cable set contains two cables. One input cable with an RJ45 plug, DC socket and RJ45 socket for connecting a DC power unit and for network connection using a Cat 5e cable. Output cable for the end device with RJ45 plug, DC plug and RJ45 socket. Devices can be supplied in this way with power from the network connection, up to a maximum length of 5 meters. The cable set for a 5.5mm power plug is suitable.

The DN-95002 PoE wall fastening socket from DIGITUS® Professional is especially compact. The socket has a RJ45 LAN socket, a DC socket and a PoE RJ45 socket, so that it can be placed in the tightest corners for a comfortable and compact power supply to the end devices via the network.

The DN-95101 PoE energy supplier can be used to cover longer distances. The DIGITUS® Professional PoE PSE has an output voltage of 48 volts to bridge a distance of approximately 90 meters up to the energy consumer. It has a RJ45 LAN input and also a RJ45 PoE output. Compatibility with the 802.3af standard provides automatic PoE recognition and supports devices without PoE. Deliberate damage can therefore be excluded.

The DIGITUS® Professional PoE PD DN-95201 wall fastening socket is ideal for use if you want to remain flexible and do not want to be held to a standard. Selection can be made on the input side between the 802.3af standard with a voltage of 40-57 volts and a voltage 18-55 volts, which does not comply with the standard. Selection can be made on the output side between 5 volts 1.5 Ampère, 9 volts 1.2 Ampère and 12 volts 1 Ampère.

The transmission rate for all the products is between 10/100 Mbit/s. The pin configuration is as follows: 1/2/3/6 for data and 4/5/7/8 for power supply.
