Musikmesse 2010: exhibitors can still benefit from the early-booking discount until 15 September 2009

Press release from: Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH

(openPR) - Changes in the halls occupied

Measures to control noise levels during the fair

The next international Musikmesse will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 24 to 27 March 2010 and exhibitors can still benefit from the early-booking discount of up to ten percent by registering for the fair by 15 September 2009.
With a slight adaptation to the hall concept and new, supplementary offers, the Musikmesse will implement changes and take account of developments in the musical-instrument market. The changes planned are designed to boost the position of the Musikmesse as the leading international business platform for the sector. For four days, all important musical-instrument manufacturers will make presenta¬tions in Frankfurt am Main and exchange ideas and information with all international distributors, dealers and sales and marketing managers from the musical-instrument business. Modifications in the halls occupied will strengthen the B2B character of the fair and ensure a pleasant working atmosphere.
The Musikmesse reacts flexibly to changes in the market situation and adapts the hall arrangements to meet the current demand for hall space and thus ensure that all exhibitors can make their presentations in an attractive setting. In Hall 5.0, visitors will find keyboard instruments, from digital pianos and organs to acoustic pianos. The German piano industry will hold its Musikmesse presentation in Forum 1. Exhibitors from the DJ-equipment segment will move from Hall 5.0 to Hall 5.1, as part of the ‘data’ product group (computer software and hardware, hard-disk recording, multimedia and accessories).
In response to the wishes of many exhibitors for a better atmosphere for B2B discussions and to interest end customers in their products, acoustic demonstrations and musical-instrument testing, exceeding the allowed decibel level, will only be permitted in special sound-proof cabins at the fair. “We will draw the attention of exhibitors to this regulation during the fair and thus achieve a lower level of noise in the halls, which will be particularly beneficial for B2B contacts”, explains Cordelia von Gymnich, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt.
The Musikbiz area, which will present exhibitors from the fields of labels, publishing, concert promotion, music marketing and musician training for the fourth time in 2010, represents the ideal addition to the Musikmesse portfolio and means the Musikmesse covers the complete product cycle in the music sector from the instruments, via sheet music and music software to publishers and labels that take care of the marketing side of music. As part of the preparations for Musikmesse 2010, Messe Frankfurt has joined forces with the new regional trade association, the Association of Independent Phono¬gram Companies in Hesse (Verband unabhängiger Tonträger¬unternehmen Hessen – VUT Hessen) and is planning other measures to strengthen this segment.
The Musikmesse is not only the most important trade fair for the musical-instrument sector but also a unique opportunity for music lovers, amateur musicians and families to see and test over 30,000 instruments. The Musikmesse will next open it doors to the general public on ‘Public Day’, Saturday, 27 March 2010.
With innovations and restructuring measures, the Musikmesse will make visiting the fair even more efficient and successful for exhibitors and trade visitors from the trade, industry and marketing.
To make taking part in the Musikmesse even more attractive for exhibitors, Messe Frankfurt offers an early-booking discount of approx. ten percent on all regular stand-rental prices 2010 until 15 September 2009.
Musikmesse is the world’s biggest and most important show for musical instruments, music production and marketing. With around 78,550 visitors and 1,560 exhibitors at the last event in the spring of 2009, the Musikmesse underscored its significance as the leading international trade fair for the sector.
