Foundation of UTS Proyectos de Energías Renovables S.L.
Press release from: UTS Biogastechnik GmbH
(openPR) - On 4th of July 2009, the official presence of UTS in Spain was established by the registration of its subsidiary UTS Proyectos de Energias Renovables, S.L. The Spanish entity is managed by Matias Amor who for the last few years has been actively involved in the environmental sector in the same way as the owner of the holding of UTS companies, Dr. Andrew Benedek. Both of them have committed themselves to protecting the environment and are focused to find and provide innovative solutions to challenging environmental issues in order to preserve the ecologic systems of our planet.
UTS has already been represented by PER-Bioenergias, S.L., since October 2008 and now starts its enterprise development in Spain with contracts on hand to build two biogas plants: one in Cataluña and the other one in Castilla La Mancha. According to Matias Amor those two projects mean: “ ...one more step on the long way Spain still has to walk, compared to e.g. Germany and Italy, where biogas has become a popular technology for the treatment of agricultural and food wastes. With biogas technology, not only the problem of emissions of methane from wastes can be solved, but also renewable energy is produced in a continuous way, helping to make country regions more profitable and attractive. At the same time we are establishing an industry generating long-term employments.”
UTS has been manufacturing equipment for biogas and waste treatment since 1992, and is therefore one of the oldest and most established companies on the German biogas market. UTS has a very flexible approach with respect to biogas solutions: from full development (turnkey) to a basic scope, including engineering, specialized mechanical equipment, commissioning, consultancy services for engineering and biology, service, etc.
Biogas is currently heavily promoted by private investors as this kind of renewable energy receives increasing support by the Spanish Government by governing laws and taking actions making this technology increasingly profitable.
The managing director of the UTS group, Dr. Thomas Buer, is equally enthusiastic to invest in this promising sector: “The promise of the EU to push renewable energies and hereby to protect the environment is currently reflected in countries like Spain starting to pass laws and norms in favour of the development of biogas technology. UTS offers “technically mature” products and solutions for the development of the Spanish market. There is no other company in Europe that can provide the quantity and variety of biogas references like our company.”
With more than 1,500 equipped biogas plants, UTS Biogastechnik
GmbH is one of the world’s leading biogas companies. The UTS
group of companies offer services in the planning, construction,
delivery and installation of biogas plants and their key components.
The company has its own production facilities and service shops,
technical design and development departments as well mechanical
and biological customer service for its international client base. UTS
also develops and sells specialized mixers, pumps and a variety of
solid/liquid separating devices related to the biogas and agro/food
markets. The company is headquartered near Munich, Germany with
subsidiaries in different parts of Germany as well as in Italy, the
Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain and also in the United Kingdom &
