(openPR) - The institute for clinical research and development in Mainz (ikfe GmbH) offers a wide range of clinical trial services world-wide. The institute commissioned the implementation of a further EDC study with MARVIN in April 2006. The planned study again deals with questions regarding the pathophysiology of metabolic disorders. ikfe GmbH is one of the leading research centers in this area. A large multicenter trial, in which the institute based in Mainz used XClinical’s electronic data capture system for the first time, was completed successfully in October 2005. Due to the consistent usage of the clinical data standard CDISC the study results could be shown only one week after study end.

The main focus of the scientific operations is on metabolic disorders.
