(openPR) - Singapore, 24 August 2009 - Juergen Gunther from LANXESS is head of Deutsche Kautschuk Gesellschaft

Singapore - Juergen Gunther (52), an employee of specialty chemicals company LANXESS AG, has been appointed as Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Kautschuk Gesellschaft (DKG – the German Rubber Society) and will hold this post until 2012. Gunther, who was already a board member of DKG, succeeds Thomas Barth of Freudenberg New Technologies KG.

Gunther, currently Head of Global Marketing in the LANXESS Technical Rubber Products business unit, has been involved in the international polymers business for over 35 years.

The DKG is an association of more than 1,000 individuals and companies whose common goal is to encourage research and development in elastomers and disseminate knowledge in this field.
