argonauten G2 to boost Koelnmesse's profile
Press release from: argonauten G2
(openPR) - Düsseldorf, 20 August 2009 - Effective today, argonauten G2 in Düsseldorf will be responsible for corporate communications for the Koelnmesse (Cologne Exhibition Board), who connect the services supplied by around 45,000 exhibitors with the needs of some 2.2 million visitors at more than 70 international trade fairs. In addition, the agency will be creating a new approach for the online communications for the many individual trade fairs run by Koelnmesse.
argonauten G2 put forward a convincing and innovative concept, overcoming six other big-name agencies in a multi-stage pitch to become the new lead agency for one of the world's most prominent trade fair organisers. The aim of the corporate campaign, which will be starting in autumn 2009, is to position Koelnmesse and its high-quality products even more strongly as the experts in generating successful national and international business contacts.
As Jochen Dosch, Divisional Manager for Marketing Communication & Event at Koelnmesse noted, "The agency won us over with its overall creative concept. It’ll allow us to integrate communication across all our customers’ contact points on the basis of an independent thematic and conceptual core idea. And this will enable online, direct, mobile marketing, and social media to play a much greater role in our future marketing mix."
Observed André Schieck, Unit Director of argonauten G2 in Düsseldorf, "Our aim is to turn Koelnmesse into much more of an experience platform – one where business partners can meet, exchange ideas, inspire each other and thereby gain impulses for their own business. The new communication will facilitate and promote the interplay between real and virtual services. We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for our campaign idea – it’ll surprise anyone who’s expecting typical B2B advertising."
