(openPR) - Axxom Software AG has completed first six months of 2009 with the best half-year results in company history. Operative earnings developed positively and invoiced revenues grew by 20 percent compared to the first half year of 2008, which had also been very strong. Basis for this successful business development has been a high demand for Axxom’s innovative solutions with their short payback periods in current economic downturn. Additionally, Axxom’s cost structure is very competitive compared to the market. Thus, the Munich-based technology company was able to win several new customers.

“In the present economic environment our solutions and services are in great demand, because they enable companies to achieve short-term as well as sustainable cost savings, an increase in efficiency and a high return on investment”, says Dr. Christoph Plapp, CEO of Axxom Software AG. “Furthermore, thanks to our two-location-strategy with headquarters in Munich and development and support center in Romanian Timisoara we have a very advantageous cost structure. Compared to our competitors we are able to operate very competitive.”

However, in the first half year of 2009 Axxom also noticed effects of the economic crisis. Some segments registered a significantly drop in demand – for example in the automotive industry. Though, due to a strong business from new customers and a high order volume from international companies Axxom was able to more than compensate these cutbacks.

For the upcoming months Axxom expects furthermore a very volatile market. But numerous requests from customers and interested parties show a still rising demand for solutions for optimizing production and logistics networks, staff planning & scheduling and intralogistics optimization. In this respect further growth is expected for annual 2009.
