McNulty has been elected Secretary, and Alyson Outenreath has been elected a Council Member of the Tax Section of the State Bar of Texas. They began serving their terms in office on Friday, June 26, 2009. Collier, McNulty, and Outenreath are Partners in the Tax Practice Group of the Firm’s Dallas office.
Collier’s practice focuses on the formation and representation of nonprofit organizations. He advises nonprofit organizations and related individuals on a variety of issues, including formation, general business and liability concerns, obtaining and maintaining federal and state tax exemptions, unrelated business income tax, and trust law requirements. Collier also represents nonprofit organizations before the Internal Revenue Service on audits and appeals and before the Attorney General’s office on state legal matters, including charity obligations and fiduciary duties. He received a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.B.A. from Baylor University.
McNulty represents taxpayers in tax controversies against the Internal Revenue Service with specific emphasis on cases for large corporate taxpayers and on cases involving interest on federal tax refunds and deficiencies, penalties, statutes of limitations, oil and gas issues, and partnerships. She also counsels on tax planning for various types of business formations. She received a J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law and a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Outenreath advises clients on federal income tax planning, state and local income tax planning, and transactions involving exempt organizations. She also represents taxpayers in state tax audits and appeals proceedings, state tax hearings proceedings and litigation, and state tax refund deficiency litigation. Outenreath received a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.S. from Texas Christian University.
