(openPR) - The SGS NDT Training and Examination Center provides training and examination of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians, managers and surveyors paying particular focus on the demand for Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (PCN).

Developed by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (www.bindt.org/), PCN is the first fully accredited personnel certification scheme under EN473 and ISO 9712. The certification of personnel is very important as NDT experts often make critical judgments that can have financial and safety-related consequences.

SGS NDT Training and Examination Center (www.sgs.com/ndt-training) is currently conducting a range of PCN training courses and examinations in Shanghai and around the SE Asian region. In order to extend its services and to meet the increasing demand for PCN training and examinations, the SGS NDT Training and Examination Center has made additional major investments in specialized samples and equipment.

With this investment, SGS is in a position to offer more PCN training courses as well as extend its services outside of Shanghai and even outside of China, to Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Singapore, and to other countries in the Middle-East. The specialized samples and equipment also provide wider resources for the Center’s team and will provide more flexibility for its operations and clients.

Offering Training Services is a key part of SGS’ strategy to improve quality and safety around the globe. SGS trains and examines personnel to the highest inspection standards worldwide.

The SGS Group is the global leader and innovator in inspection, verification, testing and certification services. Founded in 1878, SGS is recognized as the global benchmark in quality and integrity. With more than 55,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 1,000 offices and laboratories around the world.
