(openPR) - PREMIER Biosoft International today announced that a review of NetPrimer, its free primer analysis tools, was published in “Best of the Web” section of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News (GEN), a leading biotechnology publication.
Since its release in 1995, NetPrimer has been widely used by the research community. It has been cited in numerous research publications.
NetPrimer, with a web-based interface, enables users to analyze pre-designed primers. The primers are analyzed for secondary structures including hairpins, repeats and dimers. This ensures the availability of the primer for the reaction. To facilitate the selection of an optimal primer pair, each primer is rated based on the stability of its secondary structures. A comprehensive analysis report can be printed for individual primer pairs.
“We are overwhelmed by the huge response NetPrimer has garnered from researchers worldwide. This motivates us to author such innovative tools as a service to the research community.” said Kay Brown, V.P. Business Development and Marketing.
