(openPR) - FOEM, the netlabel and talent pool, is hosting an international remix contest together with SLOK and the Paris based label Electronic Petz. The winning remix will be released on the Paris label, next loads of other prizes like radio gigs, radio interviews, a physical release on TSUGI magazíne compilation (30.000 copies), free tracks and for sure - designer t-shirts. . The contest is running from June 1st 2009 until August 31th 2009 on the FOEM website.

Alessandro Russo aka SLOK is an Italian musician, dj and label manager who started his career with productions as forerunner of the italian's breakbeat, Jungle & drum n bass, with his albums ‘They Call it Jungle’ and ‘Freak 2000’ produced for Irma Records. Later he changes his style to electronic sounds and on 2006, the international club hit 'Lonely Child' released on the Satoshie Tomiie / Hector Romero's imprint SAW Recordings boosted his musical career quickly. He already released on such estimeed electronic labels like PLASTIC FANTASTIC (as Stereonova), GET PHYSICAL, PACHA, FABRIC, RENAISSANCE, BAROQUE, 4KENZO, TURBO, MY FAVORITE ROBOT, JUICY SPAIN, and of course on his own ELECTRONIC PETZ MUSIC label. He also runs Magma, a syndication radio show underground dance orientated aired on 47 FM italian Radio stations. He has turned the world as dj on France, Russia, Canada, Croatia, Portugal, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Hungary and of course he’s well-know in his native Italy. His productions received the support of many major players such Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ T, M.A.N.D.Y, Tiga, Pete Tong, Robert Babicz, Paul Van Dyk and many more.



FOEM was founded with the aim of supporting talented artists for free, helping them gain access to a worldwide audience. FOEM runs regular remix contests, open to all, together with international musicians. Some recent contests have involved artists Martin Solveig, Luke Slater, Emiliana Torrini and Gabriel Ananda.
