Successful Unified Communications-project: At Siemens, Microsoft’s Office Communications Server was connected to the AudioCodes Media Gateway parallel to the IXI-UMS Server
(openPR) - Olching, 8th June 2009: The manufacturers Siemens, AudioCodes and serVonic successfully tested and realized a Unified Communications-project. The connection of Microsoft OCS, Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging, AudioCodes Media Gateways and serVonic’s unified messaging solution IXI-UMS was realized at Siemens.
With the test connection, the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 was connected to AudioCodes Media Gateway Mediant 1000 parallel to serVonic’s IXI-UMS Server in order to test the concurrent operation of MS OCS and IXI-UMS.
The successful implementation of IXI-UMS in this complex environment characterizes serVonic’s Unified Communication strategy: Especially in times of change of the PBX- and IT-environments in companies, the UC-solutions from serVonic can be operated in a multitude of possible PBX- and IT-constellations due to their orientation towards common standards.
IXI-UMS from serVonic is add-on software that enhances the available IT-environment with the features Fax, Voice, SMS and remote inquiry by mobile phone or telephone. IXI-UMS normally integrates in messaging systems such as Microsoft Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino. Because of the flexible Connector architecture, an installation in mixed environments – messaging-, ERP- or CRM-systems – is also possible without any problems. A high scalability of the solution allows the flexible deployment in environments of 10 up to several 10.000 users. The software manufacturer is also able to cope with complex requirements in terms of high availability and security with particularly developed concepts.
