(openPR) - FlexLink and Montech agree to a new distribution partnership for the Montrac monorail pallet system in North and South America.
The Montrac monorail pallet based conveying system is recognized for its high-tech production logistics applications in manufacturing, assembly, and test processes. It is used within the electronics, health care, and plastics industries in clean room applications up to class 10.
FlexLink and Montech have entered into a partnership to increase their business potential in North and South America with FlexLink becoming the exclusive distributor of Montrac for North & South America.
The Agreement delivers a valuable addition to FlexLink’s offer and provides access to a larger market for Montech and is effective 1 June 2009.
“With this agreement, both FlexLink and Montech will benefit by improving their opportunities to provide high-end solutions, to demanding customers. From FlexLink’s side, it offers a good balance to our portfolio of conveyors, pallet systems, and MES software” comments Paolo Pusceddu, CTO of FlexLink.

FlexLink and Montech have previously cooperated on projects, including a large clean room project for the production of hard disk drives in Malaysia. The results of this project are very good and the customer is more than satisfied with the integrated solution.
Sales will be managed through FlexLink’s organization and the engineering managed by the Montech engineering center in Huntersville, North Carolina, USA, that will be transferred from Montech AG to FlexLink Systems, Inc.
Montech AG markets basic modular components that automate demanding production and logistics processes. In addition to conventional belt conveyors, automation components and the Quick-Set profile system, the range of products also includes the Montrac transport system. Montrac is an intelligent transport system for networking industrial production and logistics processes. Founded in 1963, the company is based in Switzerland and stands for innovation in the automation industry.
