Golf Career Education Discussed on XM Radio by TGAS’ PGA Master Professional Alan Flashner

Press release from: San Diego Golf Academy
(openPR) - Golf commentator Peter Kessler, “the voice of golf,” recently interviewed PGA Master Professional Alan Flashner of The Golf Academy of the South (TGAS) on the XM radio show “Pure Golf.”

During the opening portion of the interview, Flashner (known to his friends as “Flash”) discussed golf career opportunities in the golf industry with the call-in audience. Flashner also discussed TGAS' golf career education program.

Kessler and listeners then pumped Flash for his opinions on the new “distance is primary” attitude at the competitive golf tournament level, as well as the latest hot topic “Must Phil beat Tiger head to head?,” that is, to prove that Phil Mickelson is Tiger's most formidable competitor.

TGAS is a campus of the San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA, www.sdgagolf.com ), a two-year accredited golf college, preparing students for successful careers in the golf industry for 30 years. SDGA is the oldest and largest golf college in the world. There are currently five SDGA campuses: San Diego, California; Orlando, Florida; Phoenix, Arizona; Honolulu, Hawaii and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The Academy's Associate of Applied/Occupational Business Degree Program is a 16-month program and is comprised of a combined curriculum of golf instruction and business management. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to manage, or assist in the management of, all golf complex operations, including the competence to teach golf techniques. Academy scheduling allows for serious study of the golf business as well as the golf game.

With almost 6,000 graduates, SDGA has alumni working in all aspects of the golf industry, including Teaching Professionals, General Managers, Manufacturer's Reps, Superintendents and Head Golf Pros. The Academy has a worldwide reputation as an employee resource for the golf industry. We consistently place over 85% of our graduates through the efforts of our campus placement directors, as well as our affiliated employment resource company, GolFutures ( golfutures.com ).
