MADISON, WIS. — May 19, 2009 –– Networked Insights, a leading social media and customer intelligence company based in Madison, Wis., announced today a new member to its executive team— Vice President of Technology Jacob Apelbaum. As Vice President of Technology, Jacob will be responsible for all facets of the technology development of Networked Insights’ SocialSense listening platform including: product engineering, software-development lifecycle, IT operations, R&D, quality assurance and executive leadership to help guide the company’s continued growth.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Apelbaum join our team,” says Networked Insights CEO Daniel Neely. “His passion for technology and his extensive experience building real-time, large-scale data-processing systems allows us to expand our capabilities for our range of customers who want and need better social media monitoring solutions.”

Prior to joining Networked Insights, Apelbaum held numerous technology development and management positions, specializing in analytics, security, and financial services. This included work with Fortune 500 companies: IBM, First Data Corporation, and Avaya, as well as with startups Bright Idea Software and Message Secure. Apelbaum has developed eight U.S. technology patents and published several books on a variety of technology subjects, including authentication, algorithmic solutions and rapid application development.
