PR Agency: RBT
(openPR) - Milford, CT (May 15, 2009) -- In a contest of skill, spirit, and dedication, on August 15, 2009, Milford Indoor Tennis will be hosting the 3rd annual “Rally 4 Charity™” event (Rally4Charity.org). This year, however, it’s going to be a challenge. The Rossetti Brothers have secured $1M (One Million US Dollars) for any team who breaks the Guinness World Records™ longest tennis rally on August 15 this year, currently held by the Rossetti Brothers, identical twins. They set the world record last year at 25,944 strokes, which took 14 hours and 31 minutes. The Guinness Book of World Records™ officially recognizes the longest tennis rally by the number of strokes despite the duration of time.
Five tennis clubs in southern Connecticut will be the official venues for the try-outs to qualify for the record attempt on August 15. These clubs are Milford Indoor Tennis, Trumbull Racquet Club, Kings Highway Tennis, Shippan Racquet Club and Oak Hills Tennis in Norwalk. Participants can qualify for the grand prize by rallying for one hour and tallying up the most amount of consecutive strokes in that time without a miss. A $30 fee for booking one-hour of open court time indoors is required. The minimum suggested donation is $100.00 for each one-hour rally attempt. The Rally 4 Charity event is a personal and community fundraiser. The 4 charities the Rossetti Brothers support are: ALS Association, Save the Children, Rally for the Cure (Susan G. Komen for the Cure) and the Tim & Tom Gullikson Family Support Fund at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
“We are excited to be supporting such noble causes in a global event that promotes tennis and charity,” stated Jeff Gocke, Owner of the Indoor Tennis Clubs, the parent company of the five participating tennis clubs and host sponsor of the event.

About Rally 4 Charity™:
The birth of rallying for charity happened in August of 2006, where Angelo and Ettore Rossetti where inspired and moved to do something for a recently deceased friend and tennis mentor using their tennis ability. They came up with setting a world record for charity. The publicity would raise awareness and donations for ALS and brain cancer, as well as the sport of tennis. Today, Rally 4 Charity is a personal and community fundraiser. The 4 charities the Rossetti Brothers support are: ALS Association, Save the Children, Rally for the Cure (Susan G. Komen for the Cure) and the Tim & Tom Gullikson Family Support Fund at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Every August they run a Rally 4 Charity event, which takes place on August 15th at Milford Indoor Tennis this year. The Rossetti Brothers plan on continuing to create awareness and raise revenue for these worthy charities every year. They will expand this event nationally and globally in the years to come.
If you would like to sponsor a rally contestant, volunteer or help in any way with this charity event please email info@Rally4Charity.org. The Rossetti Brothers are still aiming for their $25,944 goal, having raised approximately $10,000 thus far. You can support their charitable efforts by donating online at www.Rally4Charity.org and clicking on the charity logo of your choice.
