Deepnet released world's first two-factor authentication for Outlook Anywhere

IT, New Media & Software
Press release from: Deepnet Security
(openPR) - London and San Diego, 04 May 2009 – Deepnet Security, a leading provider of unified, two-factor and two-way authentication, today announces a unique two-factor authentication solution for Outlook Anywhere to provide complete protection for mobile workers who need email access on the move.

Outlook Anywhere allows Microsoft Outlook clients to connect to their Exchange servers over the Internet via HTTP. This feature enables Outlook users to access their Exchange Server email accounts from the Internet when they are travelling or are working outside their organization's firewall without the need to use virtual private networks (VPNs).

With the threat of ID theft on the rise, users can now ensure they are fully protected against the risks of accessing corporate emails remotely in one, integrated authentication platform.

Yurong Lin, CEO of Deepnet said: “Deepnet Unified Authentication Platform has already been helping users to secure their email access via Outlook Web Access and Outlook Mobile Access. With the release of the Outlook Anywhere solution, we are the first in the world to provide a complete two-factor authentication system for Outlook users.”

Deepnet is working with NWTech, a leading IT security solution provider, to distribute its products in the US market. The solutions are perfect for businesses that need plug-n-play technology that is easy-to-use and provides comprehensive threat protection.

Stuart Maskell, CEO of NWTech said: “We are constantly being asked for smarter ways to secure identity on the move. With organisations now more than ever looking to increase efficiency and security through mobile working, Deepnet now provides the all-round protection to Outlook users whether they use Outlook Web Access, Outlook Mobile Access or Outlook Anywhere.”
