Proxicast Adds InterVOLT's Voltage Converters and Power Conditioners To Its Line Of LAN-Cell 3G Cellular Router Accessories

Pittsburgh, PA -- April 13, 2009 -- Proxicast (proxicast.com) is pleased to announce that it has become one of a select group of authorized resellers of interVOLT's "Mini Series" 24 VDC and 12 VDC isolated voltage converters and power conditioners.

InterVOLT's Mini Series voltage converters and power conditioners are excellent complementary products for the Proxicast LAN-Cell 3G cellular router, ensuring that clean, consistent power is supplied to the LAN Cell for problem-free operation. Proxicast recommends the use of an interVOLT voltage converter / power conditioner in any situation where the LAN-Cell 3G mobile router is connected to an unregulated DC power supply.

Proxicast's LAN-Cell includes a 120-240 VAC to 12 VDC world-wide compatible regulated power adapter as a standard accessory with every unit. However, many customer applications require that the LAN-Cell be powered directly from a DC source, such as inside a vehicle (automobile, truck, bus, train, van, boat) or from a telecommunications or control cabinet, solar cell, generator or battery.

For the use with the LAN-Cell 3G cellular router, Proxicast is offering the interVOLT model SPCi-121207 for DC supply voltages ranging from 9 to 16V and the interVOLT model SVCi-241208 for DC supply voltages raging from 17 to 33V. These devices protect the LAN-Cell from reverse polarity connections, short-circuit connections, under-voltage, over-voltage, surges, spikes, overloads and high temperatures that can result in damage, unnecessary down-time and costly technician visits to remote sites.

InterVOLT isolated switchmode voltage converters and power conditioners combine a converter, stabilizer, isolator and regulator into a single innovative package. These units feature galvanic isolation with no common connectivity between the input and the output whatsoever. The Mini Series also features a unique microprocessor controlled diagnostic fault finding tri-color LED indicator to assist in trouble shooting an array of common faults caused by installation or application problems. InterVOLT's new Mini Series enclosure is not only stylish but also compact, efficient and installer friendly.

InterVOLT converters and conditioners are designed for reliability, durability and longevity and built to withstand demanding applications. The extruded case is manufactured from marine grade aluminum and provides excellent mechanical strength and heat dissipation. The LAN-Cell 2 is a rugged professional-grade cellular router with enterprise-class routing, security and VPN features that allows multiple PC's, laptops, webcams, controllers, PLCs, ATMs, VoIP phones and other Ethernet-based devices to simultaneously share a single cellular data account for primary or backup connectivity.
