itelligence AG presents innovation it.x-press for the first time at the CeBIT in Hanover
Press release from: itelligence AG
(openPR) - CeBIT 2009 Hannover – Hall 4 D38 and Hall 6 C24
it.x-press – direct data exchange with express service providers
Bielefeld, March 3, 2009 – itelligence AG, the leading full-service IT provider for SAP, is presenting its "it.x-press" integration solution for the first time at the CeBIT in Hanover in Hall 4 D38. The new, innovative solution drastically simplifies and expedites the process of sending and tracking packet shipments.
it.x-press was developed by SAP specialists at itelligence to provide a quick link between the SAP system and express service providers such as DHL, DPD, GLS, Fedex and UPS. Here transactions for sending and inspecting packages, smaller packets and goods are processed directly from SAP and thus become much simpler, quicker and more cost-effective. The web services architecture of this solution – which is based on the advanced "SAP NetWeaver PI" SOA – offers simple and quick integration into existing system environments.
Eric Rotzoll, Technology Consulting product design team manager at itelligence AG: "The forward-looking web services interfaces and the direct integration with the SAP express shipment interface (XSI) provide new opportunities for express service providers."
it.x-press consists of three parts: shipment, tracking and the optional features of data services. The shipment handles deliveries, transfers and collected orders to the express service providers. Tracking integrates modern shipment tracking for deliveries, packages and transfer orders with SAP ERP. Finally, data services offer a full-service support component with updating of product-, service- and routing codes.
