(openPR) - Berlin, 2 March 2009 – PSI will be presenting new developments and extensions of software solutions for airports at the Passenger Terminal Expo 2009 from 24 to 26 March 2009 in London.
With the airport suite PSIairport, PSI provides an integrated baggage handling from check-in to loading using the host technology of the conveyor system and equipment and the material flow control. Topped off with components for supporting the entire passenger and loading planning and the integrated maintenance planning for 24/7 operations, the system becomes a holistic solution.
The PSI airport solution for tracking unit load devices (ULD) will be presented for the first time at the Passenger Terminal Expo. By means of bar-code and RFID technology the ULDs are not only recorded when loading and unloading, but they are also inventoried. Furthermore, it is possible to produce both the invoices and to generate reports. The airports therefore know at any time where which ULDs are located, when they leave an airport and when they return.
By using the powerful flight information display PSIairport/FIDS, airport operators will gain a clearly measurable added value. The overview, check-in and gate displays can also be used as multimedia, dynamic advertising media. The advertising spots appear on a divided monitor or alternately with the conventional information. Unused display systems can be actively controlled and used for passenger information.
