(openPR) - WeFi users can now access over 4,000 FREE Wi-Fi hotspots in 18 countries across Europe, in addition to the millions already in the WeFi network
Delaware, USA, February 17 2009: WeFi Inc. (wefi.com), creator of the first open, community-based global Wi-Fi network, announced today an expansion of the company’s network of global Wi-Fi access points, as part of an agreement with free-hotspot.com (free-hotspot.com). According to the agreement, over 4,000 free Wi-Fi hotspots across Europe, operated and mapped by free-hotspot.com, are being added to WeFi’s comprehensive directory of Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.
WeFi, which in January 2009 launched a one-of-a-kind directory of global Wi-Fi hotspots available at the WeFi website, now allows its users access to an ever wider database of access points around the world, with many of the newly added free hotspots located across Europe. This directory allows users to locate the closest Wi-Fi connection to them - with the exact address and location details listed.
The added free hotspots from free-hotspot.com, a subsidiary of Anacapa Holdings, include chains such as McDonalds in Belgium and Choice Hotels in Europe. The company itself certifies that ALL their operated hotspots are open and include a free access option for users.
“WeFi is constantly looking for new ways to increase Wi-Fi availability for everyone,” said Zur Feldman, CEO of WeFi. “Adding the thousands of free hotspots across Europe from free-hotspot.com, expands our rapidly growing network of Wi-Fi access points across the world, and enables our users to find and utilize the nearest Wi-Fi connection wherever they are.”
WeFi is exhibiting this week at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona. The company is located at the IMA Pavilion, Hall 4, Level 1. Please contact Jason Silberman at Jason_s@koteret.com to schedule a meeting.
