The Mobile Library introduces QiC - Custom generated mobile books
Press release from: QiOO Interactive
(openPR) - QiOO Interactive enhances his successful mobile library service by allowing users to generate their own books. The new service is completely free of charge and is called QiC. QiC is a new reader software for mobile phones as well as a server-based automated system that allows instant creation of user generated mobile books via a simple web formular.
Users can convert their text into the common JAR format within two simple steps:
1. Select the text (must be plain text: *.txt, ASCii)
2. Click on the create button and install the resulting JAR-book on any MIDP 2.0-enabled mobile phone!
The resulting book is in the JAR format which is commonly available on every JAVA-enabled cell phone world wide.
German developer QiOO Interactive hosts the ‘Mobile Library’ - a service that brings classic books as well as modern literature to JAVA-enabled cellphones. The portfolio ranges from Aristotle over Mark Twain to such extraordinary authors as Algernon Blackwood. By introducing QiC the company allows each user to create his own collection of mobile books. All mobile books can be downloaded as JAVA-applications from the internet and can then later be installed on the cellphone by using Bluetooth, serial connection, infrared or data cable.
What are the benefits of reading books on small cellphone screens? Mobile books don’t weight very much and you can carry them with you wherever you are. So each user can have his own personalized library. All QiC mobile books offer features such as bookmarks, adjustable font sizes, landscape and portrait mode.

Comments about openPR
Your portal is fast, simple, and easy to use. Others may have more functions but they also demand more editing time, you have to preformat the text in order to achieve a good result etc.
I think openPR is really fantastic!
