Traditional diagnostic methods have largely been replaced by abdominal computed tomography (CT) scans and ultrasound for many clinical indications. The salient radiologic findings as well as a brief list of differential possibilities are subsequently presented, followed by the correct diagnosis. This format makes the atlas an ideal tool when reviewing for board examinations.
