World Class Simulation and Systems Integration Lab Adopts DataDrill for Facility Management
Press release from: Distributive Management
(openPR) - Fredericksburg, VA, January 22, 2009 – The leading software application for quantitative project management, DataDrill, is being adopted by a state-of-the-art modeling and simulation laboratory group to optimize measurement and management reporting.
The facility supports more than 50 short-cycle projects at any one time and needs to be able to easily and quickly update various management teams regarding each project’s status. Distributive Management’s DataDrill metrics dashboard software is being used to measure and track work product status and alert managers to potential performance concerns, as well as provide the means to demonstrate CMMI® compliance.
The high turnover and short project duration, usually 3 to 4 weeks, presents unique challenges – project start-up must be easy, status must be timely, information delivery must be rapid, decisions are made immediately. The web-based DataDrill software helps the facility meet these challenges by automating the collection, analysis and seamless reporting of key performance indicators and measures, and delivering complete status and progress to managers using dashboards, reports and presentations.
“The organization and its customers will benefit from the capability to collect information directly from all of their existing data sources, generate customized metrics dashboards and produce effortless monthly reports at all levels of the organization,” said Don Baxter, Distributive Management Sales. “Gone are the days of having to sift through mountains of data or rely on error-prone manual reports,” Baxter continues. “Our software provides right-time data of the highest accuracy and precision, allowing organizations to manage by exception, pinpointing problems and addressing them efficiently.”
