syntevo GmbH, a leading vendor of professional clients for Open Source version control systems, announces the worldwide immediate availability of SmartSVN version 5, its all-in-one-Subversion (SVN) client.SmartSVN's feature set allows professional developers to be productive from the first minute on. All required tools like the Subversion library, a visual file compare tool and an SSH client are included, no additional tools need to be installed. SmartSVN can be used on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and OS/2.
The latest release of SmartSVN adds or improves:
- intelligent merging of renamed or moved files, with special support for "release" and "feature" branches
- Windows explorer integration showing changes from subfolders
- ability to compare different directories from the repository, e.g. to see all changes since the last release
- more compact presentation of revision graphs (structural file or directory history), e.g. by optionally hiding deleted revisions or branches
- display of already merged revisions in the revision graph using merge-tracking information
- visual comparison of SVN properties
- UI support for relative SVN externals
- major performance and usability improvements
